Non-fiction
writing and editing

Meta L. Levin has been in journalism for her entire career. Now an independent contractor, specializing in nonfiction writing and editing, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her work. Drawing on a varied background, her writing covers a range of topics. She also is a skilled editor who can turn even the most disjointed piece into readable prose, and she frequently serves as a ghostwriter, working closely with clients to turn out articles that reflect their ideas and voices.

Her news background taught her to learn new information quickly and to ask the right questions. This has proved useful in serving her clients, from writing articles to brochures. In recent years she has been editor of a monthly information security magazine, associate editor of a health care related journal, media coordinator of the Journal of Human Lactation, and a feature writer and correspondent for two local newspapers. Her work appears regularly in several publications, and she writes on information security matters for BullsEye Resources. She recently was appointed as the editor of the Institute for Applied Network Security’s online newsletter. In addition, she has been active in professional organizations and is the immediate past president of the Midwest Writers Association, an organization of professional nonfiction freelance writers and editors.
